AAT Level 2 Certificates and Career Pathways

The AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting level 2 will be available from first teaching 5 September to teaching sixth date, which is normally 6 October 2021. The purpose of this foundation certificate in accounting is to provide grounding in the core financial management knowledge and skills required to progress to either a senior accountant or to further professional education. You will also have been provided with a glossary of terms relating to finance roles and you will know what skills are needed for finance roles.

 

Once you have finished the foundation certificate in accountancy, you will be expected to complete a topic on Auditing as taught in the AAT syllabus. This requires a detailed explanation of Auditing methods, their significance and how to apply them within a company. The syllabus also contains a PDF file which has all the requirements of the exam. This includes a detailed PDF document that have the definition of each term used in the AAT examination format, a glossary of terms associated with accounting and their meaning within the accountancy world and finally a concise explanation of a typical exam question. After completing the foundations course you will be able to start the second part of the qualification offers, teaching on AAT level 2. This is the most comprehensive accounting training available.
